Training

Once your system has been fully installed, your DogFence installer will commence training with you and your dog.

Every dog is different and so your trained DogFence professional installer will tailor the system and training to meet your pet’s requirements.

If you have more than 1 dog, training will be carried out individually.

Your dog will learn its boundaries through training using voice commands and visual flags. After the initial session, your installer will speak to you about your dog’s progress and run through a reinforcing programme requiring around 10 minutes training between you and your pet each day.

As with people, all dogs have different personalities and we advice our customers not to expect each dog to react in the same way. Some dogs require very little reinforcing training, accepting and understanding the fence almost immediately, whereas others need reassurance and guidance to gain confidence in this new boundaries concept. All dogs should be proficient with the dog fence system within 10 days meaning your dog will have the freedom to run and play and you have the peace of mind knowing that he is safe.
