The performance series really is exceptional. Providing many advanced features. The system has battery back up, so even when there is a power failure your pets are safely contained.
The system also has the advantage of being supplied with the Dog Watch R8 receiver collar providing extra features such as auto memory, where if your dog has recently challenged the boundary and then tried again the unit will automatically increase the correction. A status light on the receiver collar so you know the unit is working and you can also tell if your dog has challenged the boundary.
The Dog Watch R8 receiver also has Anti Linger technology- some systems will drain their batteries in the receiver very quickly because the dog knows where the beep will occur and where the correction occurs. Because of this some dogs will bounce around the boundary setting off the beep frequently but never getting a correction, this then causes the units battery to fail. But with Anti Linger the clever R8 receiver recognizes this and will stop this behavior using a correction- your dog will be safe.
